Richmont Graduate University is a private Christian institution offering master's degrees in counseling and ministry. Established in 1933 as the Chattanooga Bible Institute and later known as the Psychological Studies Institute, it merged in 2000 to form Richmont. The university is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).
