We genuinely do not have enough words to describe how incredible the team at Rest Your Paws were during the hardest day of our lives. Our girl Kahlua was terminally ill, and making the decision to let her go was absolutely heartbreaking. From the very first phone call, we were met with so much empathy, kindness, and understanding. The woman we spoke with took the time to truly listen to us, to understand Kahlua’s situation, and helped reassure us that we were making the kindest decision. It never once felt like just another phone call. She carried the weight of the moment with us, and that meant more than we can express. Dr. Winnie came to our home the following day, and she was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment she arrived, she treated Kahlua with such gentleness and respect. She sat on the floor with her, patting her, speaking to her, and making her feel completely at ease. She took the time to learn everything about Kahlua, her life, her quirks, what she loved, and what made her special. It was clear that Kahlua was not just another dog to her. Every single detail was thought of. Dr. Winnie lit a candle with Kahlua’s name already written on it, took paw prints for every family member, and saved a lock of her fur for us. These were things we would never have had the clarity to think of ourselves, and it allowed us to simply be present with our girl while everything else was so thoughtfully handled. The entire process was exactly as it was described to us, gentle, calm, and peaceful. Kahlua slipped away softly, without panic or distress, and we knew without a doubt that it was the right decision. Even after her passing, the care did not stop. Seeing her wrapped up in her bed with a rose, and later surrounded by flowers and candles, felt like a beautiful farewell. It felt like we were giving her the dignity and love she deserved. What Rest Your Paws gave us was more than a service. They gave us peace, comfort, and a memory that, while incredibly sad, is also filled with warmth and gratitude. They turned a horrible day into something softer and gentler than we ever thought possible. We will forever be thankful to Dr. Winnie and the entire Rest Your Paws team for the way they honoured our girl. We could not recommend them more highly to anyone facing the impossible task of saying goodbye to a beloved pet 🤍

Rest Your Paws provided the most sincere and heartfelt end of life for my little dog. From the first phone call, I was blown away by the sincerity and beautiful conversation that we had which put me at peace at such a difficult time. The vet who visited was absolutely perfect for our little dog and myself. Calm, kind, sincere, patient and was able to help me through a very difficult situation. I will be forever grateful that it was able to happen in our home where he was comfortable and we could sit together for as long as we needed. I will not hesitate to recommend Rest Your Paws. At one of the most difficult moments in my life, they were amazing with the level of care, continual communication and just knowing I could reach out if I needed. On one of the hardest days we’ve experienced as a family, we felt comforted and cared for. The team, and especially the Dr who attended us on the day, made what could’ve been a harrowing experience, one that was a special celebration of Ruby‘s life. Our dear little old dog was beautifully cared for by the Rest Your Paws vet. Our family were given step by step information about how things would go and further information as we took each step together. Everything was so calm and relaxed. Our little girl was so peaceful the whole time. She particularly loved the home made brownies she scoffed to distract her from what was happening. The brownies were made by our darling vet! Above and beyond. We were given plenty of time to say our goodbyes and were never hurried. Thank you Rest Your Paws for a dignified, gentle and loving send off for our treasured pet.

Our vet gave us your booklet which was incredibly helpful and informative and filled with beautiful quotes. Booking the service was easy and was able to be booked in for the next day. On arrival, the beautiful Dr Audrey gave me the biggest hug as I was crying and throughout the process her and Dr Shayleigh were so gentle and kind.. with us and with our baby girl. Everything was done in our time and only when we were ready. We got some beautiful paw and nose prints and a clipping of her hair in a beautiful keepsake jar. A candle was lit with Pippa’s name on it just before giving her the medication, to help her cross over. Dr Audrey spoke in a soft and comforting voice the whole time and listened to my stories about Pippa.She placed a super soft warm blanket over us and took some photos for us. We then transferred her into the biggest fluffiest soft bed and allowed me to carry Pip out to the car for her final car ride. There were plenty of options to say goodbye and give her more kisses. I am so so thankful we were able to do this for my special girl and I think of Dr Audrey and Shayleigh as beautiful angels who came to help our girl across the rainbow bridge. It was such a beautiful process and I’m so glad our final memories were so wholesome. Dr Audrey gave me another big much needed hug before leaving and promised she would take good care of our girl. I can’t imagine how hard that job must be but am so thankful you have such gorgeous souls available to do it. Please pass on our sincere thanks and gratitude for our 2 angels on that day 🩷

Rest your Paws was recommended to us by our vet when we knew it was time for our 16yr old cat Crunchie to leave us. It was very easy to book and the lovely Brittany visited our home within a couple of days. Using Rest your Paws allowed for a very special and peaceful passing for Crunchie in his home environment. I don’t think it could have been any more peaceful and stress free for him. We were also so glad his body got to rest from the pain and discomfort he was in before the finale injection was administered. Thank you Rest your Paws, your compassion, care and the service you provided was exceptional under the hard circumstances. I will definitely use you again but hopefully not for a long while!
