Andrew and his team from Holden Constructions were a breath of fresh air when completing my home renovations. Having dealt with a number of builders over the years who caused stress on site and with their billing and communications, I found Andrew to be honest, reliable, diligent and dependable and who took capable charge of his entire team. A thinking builder (rare) who acted as if the property was his own and so took a proactive approach to the renovations. Some unforeseen conditions were uncovered, and Andrew advised me of them, gave the appropriate remedial options and suggested the best option to use and the reasons why. Then fixed the issue completely. He was clear in his written communications, including the contract and any variations needed. All communication, whether verbal or written, was clear and logical. At no time did I get the sense I was being 'gouged' financially which was a great relief (I had done due diligence and knew what I should have been being charged). The work area was always kept tidy, clean and safe. He was sensitive to the functioning of the household too: for example, he was very obliging in removing scaffolding prior to a Christmas event-this was as an inconvenience to himself, but he just put it back when he returned to site-without complaint or extra charge. Another plus was his dependability. He was clear about when he or another member of his team would turn up and if that was unachievable, he advised me of it. Such open communication took a lot of stress out of the process and allowed everyone concerned to relax, knowing that trust had been achieved. I would have no hesitation in using Andrew and his team again for any building works, either new or renovations, and would recommend him unstintingly for capable, knowledgeable, trustworthy and dependable building work.

Five star review for a five star product, turning our dream into reality. We engaged Holden Constructions to demolish & remove our dilapidated 40 year old ‘outdoor’ room and replace it with a beautiful, fully insulated indoor/outdoor entertaining area overlooking our pool, complete with BBQ, dimmable downlights, ceiling heaters and DC fans. The suggestions made by Andrew made the room part of our home and not just an addition. The quality of workmanship was second to none. Andrew, Harry, Blair and all the contractors were always very pleasant and courteous to us. In our experience, Holden Constructions is a small but totally professional company and we would not hesitate to engage them again should the need arise, or recommend them to our friends.

I employed Andrew Holden of Holden Constructions to undertake a major renovation on my home. The work was of the highest quality and carried out in a timely manner. Any issues that arose, from outside sources, were attended to by Andrew on our behalf which was a great assistance. His workers, as was Andrew, were polite and courteous and treated my home respectfully. I often receive comments on how lovely my home is. Andrew was also very helpful in providing alternative ideas for our consideration if he thought it was either more practical or more cost effective.
