Hospital for turtles. They only keep turtles that are sick or damaged due to fish nets, hooks and accidents with motor boats. Treating them takes ages. Some people say that water tanks are too small. But please remember that alternative for them is dying due to disabilities. They will be released after they recover. They do not let touch turtles: it makes me think that this is not tourist trap, but real conservation centre. Worth visiting - guide is explaining everything in details.
Very kind personal working here. All of those turtles are well taken care of. You can gently touch them and see all the sizes from egg to the normal size. Also they will tell you the history of how they rescue them and how they treated to get back to normal size. Ticket price is the least you can do to help them get back to normal

We visited the Sea Turtle Farm & Hatchery Koggala on 2nd November and were truly impressed. It’s run by wonderful people who work tirelessly, especially when human impact hasn’t been so kind to them, to help these animals.
This place is perfect for a short trip — absolutely worth seeing and very informative.
If you go, please consider leaving a generous donation (there’s a donation box by the last tank). The sea turtle conversation project and the turtles in their care can truly use every cent. For example, a prosthetic fin can cost around USD 2,500, partly because some components must be imported.
A heartfelt recommendation!
